A knowledge interface through interactions
A large percentage of mission-critical applications are queries and the related logic get implemented through them. Most all management inquiries as to the operational metrics and key performance indicators of an organization come from queries. Having a tool which allows mastery of both new and existing queries is a key complonent of the AppGenetics goal of delivering mission-critical aplications in a real-time development environment.
It's conversational
SQL Shorthand provides commands to explore your data model and quickly build ad hoc queries to better understand your data. Questions are asked as needed to fill in missing details. Once queries have been refined to be accurate and useful, they can be given a name. Queries can be enhanced or combined with other queries and those combinations given a name. In this way, a knowledge interface is developed over time that abstracts your data model into the language of the organization.
It Learns
Queries require less and less effort over time as SQL Shorthand learns more details about your data model. Starting out, SQL Shorthand will prompt for more information with every query. As it learns from your queries, it will no longer ask information is already knows. This greatly reduces the effort to develop and enhance queries to meet the needs of an organization.
It's modular
Using SQL Shorthand, a language develops for understanding an organization's data. With each new query, more details are understood. The result is a knowledge pyramid where only a few words are necessary to gain insight about every aspect of your organization.
